The Issue

 This summer the huge problems of race caught the eye of all Americans. While the problems have been around for forever, the BLM protests presented how big the issues were. 

Ever since the protests, people have come forward and been very open about the realness of the issues they face in their everyday lives. They experience prejudices at work, school, and local events. Many people believed that the prejudices went away after the civil rights movements in the 60's, but they have never gone away!

In the movements, like Black Lives Matter, it has been important for people to have the voices to speak up, but it is also important for their to be people who just listen! 

The only way we will get through this difficult time is if we all work together and listen to each other!  I hate to see such a divided nation and can not wait for the day when we are all grateful and can feel equal to our neighbors!
