The Changes
Education has changed me.
It changes everyone.
It all began in a small white church right outside my neighborhood. My school journey started and my first look at a formal education began. This education consisted of which M&M's were red and blue and how many there were. I used books to learn what sound a cow makes. The world was still a place of wonder and imagination! I was waking up early every morning hoping it was one of the few days a week I would get to go to this place and learn all the new things.
It now takes place in a big brick building, about 20 minutes from my house, and a half mile walk up from my parking spot. This education consists of summer reading, due dates, and actual studying. I use textbooks to see what a paramecium looks like. I wake up every morning seeing if there is snow on the ground, hoping for a possible snow day,
in April.
My education has changed every aspect of my life. It has changed where I go everyday. It has changed the activities I do everyday after school. It has also given me opportunities. Opportunities to make friends, find hobbies, and figure out my future. In that little white church I was a shy, pig-tailed wearing little girl, depending solely on her parents. I looked at education as a fun thing I got to do some days. After all of the school and education I have gone through, I am now a confident young woman preparing for life where some day soon I will be on my own. I also do not always look at education as a privilege anymore. It has changed into more an expectation for me to succeed.
The changes have been mostly for the good. I have to say though, I no longer live in an imaginary world of wonder and peace. I live in a factual world where everything has an explanation and everyone has an opinion. Education has changed my point of views on many things. It has changed my mind, the way it works and thinks. I owe everything to education and the changes it has made to me.

I love the picture as well as your thoughts on how your education progressed! Nicely written!
